Why a baby gift store? The founders of Personalized Baby Gifts Galore operated a store for business people and selling gifts ranging from leather briefcases, crystal gifts, desk accessories and more... but no baby gifts. Often, as professionals shopped with us, we found them asking for gifts for baby showers, Christening gifts, Baptism gifts and small remembrances to take for a hospital visit to get that first glimpse of a new baby. Often these customers were in a hurry and were disappointed we sold no baby gifts. So, the founders added a few small token baby gifts to assure no customer left disappointed in the array of gifts the store sold.

The demand grew as the founders enjoyed serving their customers and assuring satisfaction with baby gifts. Of course, it was a sideline but added a bit of color and a touch of softness to the array of items often found in the cold, cruel business world! Soon, it was a common practice for customers to stop by to pick up baby items when shopping but something just wasn't right. One day, a staffer mentioned that the store had expanded the baby area but it still looked out of place and told a customer it was "really just sort of a hobby for the store." It was then the owners realized something had to change.

An idea was, as is said in the baby world, born! Why not take the line of baby products, expand it, offer personalization and create its own store? And that's exactly what happened.
